OVER 18 MULTI-TENANTED STUDENT ACCOMMODATION
Steven works as part of a four-person team in a busy 300-bedroom student accommodation residence based in central Cambridge. Working a regular 4 on / 4 off shift pattern allows him to have a structure to his work balance. Full rotas are sent to Clients one month in advance. As well as fulfilling regulatory criteria, this also assists the site with their planning.
Steven’s roles on-duty are varied. Providing a physical presence to deter unauthorised persons, he also offers reassurance, and assistance, to residents or authorised visitors to the site. During shift he will be expected to perform patrols of the site. This provides reassurance to the students, whilst ensuring all rules are being adhered. As part of his patrol, he will perform basic maintenance checks, reporting back to site management any issues discovered, swiping the pre-installed electronic tags as he progresses through a patrol.
Each patrol will be logged in the sites specific data collecting processes which maybe either via email to management at the end of each shift or written in hard copy and left onsite.
Holding an Enhanced DBS Certificate, Steven is also licensed in accordance with The Private Security Industry Act. Additional training in First Aid, Fire Awareness and Safeguarding mean he is well equipped to provide a valuable addition to our Clients boarding goals.
