“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success”

– Henry Ford

As a Company, we have strong and robust Safer Recruitment Processes and Procedures.  These are embedded within our internationally recognised Quality Management System, allowing us to continuously monitor and measure their effectiveness.

Hyline Education Services is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  All employees are expected, and encouraged, to share this commitment without exception.

For the first interview, there will be a minimum of two Hyline persons on the interviewing panel.  At least 50% of the panel will be female. All will hold relevant accreditation in “safer recruitment procedures”.  An Enhanced DBS will be applied for at this stage for any successful applicants, unless the prospect is already entered onto the Update Service, which will be verified.  Screening of the prospect will begin at this point, including rigorous right to work checks.

A member of the school Student Services Team will be invited to attend the second interview to ensure that the person(s) recruited match the criteria of the school exactly. This enforces the partnership we develop with the School.

Prior to commencement within a residence, all new employees will undergo a thorough induction into Company policies and procedures, along with school operating procedures and policies.  They will then “shadow” an existing Supervisor at the residence, until both the School and Hyline Education Services are satisfied with their competence to be able to work alone if required.

As a Company, we also have robust Lone Worker Procedures which all staff are thoroughly inducted on, and expected to follow without question.
